William III silver tankard

A rare and unusual William III silver tankard with pegging. Made by John Jackson in 1701, this tankard has six pegs  on the inside to help keep track of the amount of alcohol consumed when the tankard was passesd around the table, as was the practice during the period. The wonderful armorial on the front of the tankard appears contemporary and the tankard is in very good condition.
